The Wood Scales are very unique to this knife as it has 8 Brass pins and 1 in the bolster. They are in perfect condition, The blade has never been sharpened snaps firmly into position opening and closing, and has a very dark etch of the Big old Rattle snake and the word Sidewinder. The blade Locking mechanism on this knife is perfect. There are some that don't work properly, But not this one. The Nickle Silver bolsters are clean and Bright, The knife comes with the original factory sheath that has never seen a belt, it is like new. Case & Sons Cutlery Company and custom knife maker Tony Bose continue their historic and award winning collaboration with the release of the Norfolk, the eleventh knife in the celebrated series. As with previous models, Case worked with Tony Bose to produce a factory made knife that nearly duplicates the custom knife Bose makes in his workshop. Tony's design was inspired by the original Norfolk knife, built by Joseph Rogers & Sons of Sheffield, England for The Great Exhibitions of 1851. This Case Classic 6391 Split Backspring Whittler is 4 1/2" closed, and features the old style Tan Genuine Bone (cattle bone) scales with the "Banana" style jigging. This Case Classic 6391 Split Backspring Whittler features the pinned Case Bowtie style shield and the nickel silver bolsters and was Never Produced in a standard production run in the Case Classic Series. This is a Case Trapper and is a special knife for a couple of good reasons. First of all David Yellowhorse does not customize many Case knives anymore if he customizes any of them because of a money situation. Second is the fact that this is both a David Yellowhorse who is the dad and Brian Yellowhiorse the son. The blades are done in what they call Native Steel and it almost has a obsidian black lava look to it even though it is stainless... I do have a Brian Yellowhorse custom inlay certificate that comes with this knife and I will supply a nice box for the high bidder of this knife... The theme is the evil pumpkin thema as the bad pumpkin in the middle is stainless steel.. They chipped out the ornage spiney oyster and then inlaid tyhe pumpkin in the hole they created... There were only 100 of these made and this one is 060 and that along with there two signatures and the name of the steel is on the back of the main clip blade.. Along with the orange spiney oyster they also used white web turquoise and black onyx.. Nickel silver spacers were used in between all of the component materials... 4 1/8" closed and this will be a low 0.99 cent start and NO RESERVE auction...
